Meet Emma

This is Emma . Emma works in our Baby Lounge and is also part of the Management Team. Emma has a daughter and son and is celebrating her 18 years at Brooklyn this year. Emma is our resident Mrs positive and is always smiling -all ages of children adore her --especially her puppet shows .

Meet Lizzie

Lizzie is our Qualified Early years Teacher. 
 Her positivity and energy along with her driving passion for each child is the fairy dust making her pre-school sparkle.... she is also famous for her crazy outfits which would definitely suit any of our 4 year-olds 😂
lLizzie grew up at Brooklyn and is obviously herself a Brooklyn Alumni --she still manages to find new walks through the woods too !!



Meet Hayley

This is Hayley . Hayley is the third member of the baby lounge team. She has a son of her own too. Celebrating 18 years of Brooklyn service ..as a local girl Hayley came to Brooklyn herself with her brother as a child too.. Hayley also cares for the Brooklyn Guinea pigs in our busy 'piggery'.

Meet Emma

This is Emma . Emma has 2 boys who attended Brooklyn. 
She is our nursery cook and creates yummy meals for our children. Also working thoroughly to provide safe meals for all of our children with allergies and intolerences .

Meet Molly

This is Molly. Molly has returned after maternity leave this year with her own baby girl .She has slotted back in to the Tweenie room supporting the team and children and having lots of fun whilst identifying any support required. Molly is now in her 7th year of Brooklyn life .

Meet Sophie

Sophie came on work experience then straight into an apprenticeship with us from leaving school 2011She has been a qualified level 3 with us  since 2015 . After a recent maternity/mum break Sophie has recently returned to us part time .She has her own 2 girls and lives in the village.

Meet Kitty 

We welcome Kitty ; she is studying her degree to become an Early Years teacher ,she joins the team part time .Kitty is fun and lives locally we cant wait to get to know her .

Meet Cheryl

This is Cheryl. Our longest serving staff member celebrating 33 years service this year ! 
Cheryl has 2 children of her own. She is part of the toddler team but loves to work in all rooms to stay skilled . Brooklyn is evidently now in her veins too.

Meet Gemma

This is Gemma. Gemma recently started with us as our housekeeper. She has Brooklyn in her veins though as her grandma is the very loved 'mamma Nancy' who cooked for the Brooklyn children for over 30 years. Gemma has made a huge difference to the team keeping the laundry sorted and rooms clean for all of us.. We cannot imagine life without her now.

Meet Jane

This is Jane. Jane has started recently in the kitchen supporting our cook Emma. She has made a huge difference in preparing all the meals and keeping our kitchen clean.

Meet Amy

This is Amy. Amy came on school work experience and fell in love with childcare and Brooklyn ...coming back a few years later once qualified. She is part of our preschool team and loves the outdoors. This is her 7th Brooklyn year .
Amy has been working hard and has JUST received her Level 3 Qualification as a  Forest School practitioner this is a huge achievment and 
enhances our outdoor work/play hugely .

Meet Sue (Owner / Manager)

I grew up at Brooklyn it was my parents nursery. I then had a career in Neonatal and later school nursing. Before taking over at Brooklyn when my parents retired in 2002. I've studied the reggio emilia approach in Italy and High Scope methods of teaching too BUT the Brooklyn Ethos and Pedagogy are definitely unique to our wonderfully located setting ...its fabulously rich history and ....huge network of wonderful playful and devoted fans. 
My own wealth of parenting experience has literally covered everything as I have triplets now adults and a teenager with Autism ... so whatever your situation ..I promise I can help :)

Meet Leah

This is Leah. Leah works in our Toddler Lounge and loves making friends with children and families. She has her own son too and this year celebrates 13 years Brooklyn Service.

Meet Amy

This is Amy. This is Amys third year ..she came after her maternity leave for her son who also comes to Brooklyn. Amy is now the Room Leader of the Toddler  lounge and loves the outdoors and creative activities.

Meet Angel

This is Angel. Angel started Brooklyn in the summer of 2020 , she works as part of the team in Tweenie 1 room. Angel loves the children and is very creative .

Meet Becky

This is Becky. Becky joined us in 2020 and says she has never looked back. She adores Brooklyn and our ethos .
Becky is room leader in our Tweenie 1 room.  with our younger 2 year olds. She always has a smile and is a most positive 'can do' member of our team which we all love.

Meet Kursty

This is Kursty. Kursty joined the Brooklyn team in 2020 we were so lucky to get her with a shiny new degree in childhood studies.
The perfect combination for pre_school has been Kursty and lizzie.
Kursty has boundless energy and ideas for activities also loving the outdoors and child led approach.. Definitely an advocate for play based learning which means fun days in pre_school.

This is Bec. Bec is one of our apprentices who has recently qualified and is now part of our Preschool team.


Amber

This is Amber. Amber is one of our apprentices who's working hard and learning lots whilst enjoying Brooklyn life and supporting our children!
"Absolutely fantastic nursery. Both my son and daughter thrived from being at Brooklyn Day Nursery. Lots of outdoor activities and letting children learn by ‘being children’ and exploring their surroundings. All the staff are amazing.
