A quick look at the happy faces of our children being cared for by well-qualified staff who’ve been part of Brooklyn Day Nursery’s fabric for many years will show that some things never change: children are still the happiest learning and having fun in a supportive, stimulating environment.
Throughout all the changes in childcare practice and regulation over the years, we’ve held true to our philosophy of exceptionally caring childcare in a fun and comforting environment.
Brooklyn Day Nursery in Nottingham was opened by my father and his first wife in 1958.
Very soon the school established itself as an integral part of Sutton-in-Ashfield and neighbouring communities.
Such was its success that a move was soon needed and the nursery moved it its present location; a fabulous 1880-built stone house, surrounded by fields and woodland in Annesley.
Brooklyn Day Nursery has lowered its intake in recent years to 50 children as more nursery schools open and we now include the Early Years Foundation Stage in our daily routine.
