We take great pride in the history behind our nursery and are grateful to be able to continue to expand, develop and provide children with a place where they can explore, discover and feel happy.

Word-of-mouth has always been our best marketing strategy and we are immensely proud that many of the children who were with us at Brooklyn Day Nursery in times past, now send their own children to learn with us.

    Brooklyn Day Nursery in Nottingham was opened by my father and his first wife in 1958. 


    Very soon the school established itself as an integral part of Sutton-in-Ashfield and neighbouring communities.


    Such was its success that a move was soon needed and the nursery moved it its present location; a fabulous 1880-built stone house, surrounded by fields and woodland in Annesley.


    Brooklyn Day Nursery has lowered its intake in recent years to 50 children as more nursery schools open and we now include the Early Years Foundation Stage in our daily routine.
